Dr. Conrad Pritchard
Dr. Pritchard is originally from sunny St. Augustine, Florida. His childhood home backed up to a small marsh, and he developed a love for wildlife as assorted critters found their way into the backyard. Much to his parents’ dismay he would bring small lizards, frogs, and bugs to the house for show and tell. Over time he used these skills in more productive ways, working as a veterinary assistant and even serving as a reptile keeper at an Alligator Farm!
Dr. Pritchard received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eckerd College and attended veterinary school at the University of Florida, where one of his externships took place here at Commonwealth Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Lieberman. Dr. Pritchard was a huge hit with our team and we have been campaigning to get him back ever since!
Prior to moving north, Dr. Pritchard practiced small animal medicine near Jacksonville, FL where he honed his surgical skills and treated lots of heartworm disease! In January, he and his wife decided to brave New England winters and settle near family in Massachusetts.
Dr. Pritchard’s favorite part of primary care medicine is building lasting relationships with patients and their human counterparts. His interests within primary care include surgery, dermatology, cardiology, and preventative medicine.
Dr. Pritchard is excited to make Massachusetts his home. He and his wife, Val, and his senior cat, Grainger are settling in and enjoying the wintry scenery. Outside of work they enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, sailing, and traveling. Dr. Pritchard has never skied but hopes to give it a shot sometime soon!
